The Asian Leopard cat has immunity to feline leukemia and the hope was to transmit this trait to the offspring. This breed was registered in 1983 by the TICA and today, he majority of associations recognize it. This breed appeared as a cross of the American Shorthair and the Asian Leopard cat, which is wild.
